چکیده

Within the history of modernity, tragic shape and ethical concerns Antigone myth have made it a touchstone for understanding contemporary cultural political realities. This essay traces modernist processes adaptation, citation, displacement, revision that often characterised relations between filmmakers this phenomenon. Focussing in particular on those films subvert authority narrative realism laws conventional – ‘classical’ film language, how social contexts commitments inevitably constructed different images Antigones emerge early or ‘silent’ cinema, example, compare with from other media forms, including television, video installation art works.
